The webcams of Laphroaig

The visit at the distillery is a very intense experience. To those who still haven’t been to the remote isle of Islay, Laphroaig put on its website 5 webcams and some videos in which John Campbell guides you in a tour of the distillery.

In fact, it is possible to make a virtual visit to the distillery directly from the website of Laphroaig. There are more than 10 videos, simple and well-done, with the comments of John Campbell and his insular accent: Courtyard, The Kilbride Reservoir, Our peat beds, Malthouse, Kilns, Milling, Mash house, The stills, Filling, Maturation, Tasting and Club house. To go from a video to another it is necessary to click on the button Continue Tour. Click here to display the first video (date of birth and country are required).

Laphroaig has also installed 5 webcams which broadcast live images of the distillery:

  • n.1 is positioned inside the Friends of Laphroaig Lounge;
  • n.2 is in the Visitor’s centre where Friends collect their 'rent' - a dram of our finest;
  • n.3, the ‘Shore’ kiln and n.4, the ‘Road’ kiln, are our two peat kilns - only one of which is operational at any time;
  • n.5 is the View of the bay from the FOLs’ lounge.
